Katy Calcaterra: Assistant Administrator

Katy joined the company in August 2007, supporting Lynn in our Administration function.

“When I am not working, lots of my spare time is spent with my young nephew. He is my favourite hobby. I also enjoy socialising, travelling and going to the gym.”

Mark Chaplin: Director of Finance and Lead Fund Manager

Mark trained as a chartered accountant with Grant Thornton. He has wide industry experience, having spent some years as Finance Director of a FTSE listed company.

“One of our two sons has now qualified as a solictor with a leading London firm, whilst the other is completing his Biology degree at Warwick. I continue to mow, and to golf, and to DIY, and to walk our labrador although not always in that order!”

Christina Georgiou: Financial Adviser

Christina has an Honours Degree from the University of London. She spent 10 years with the Woolwich both as a Branch Manager and Financial Adviser.

“I enjoy tap dancing and am currently working towards obtaining the full set of IDTA Medals. I routinely attend aerobics, step and yoga classes at my local gym. I am a keen amateur runner and enjoy taking part in 10 kilometre races with my husband.”

Gill Lovelace: Financial PlanningAssistant

Gill joined Altorfer's advisory team in April 2006 working with Christina Daniel and Helen. Gill has had many years of experience in Financial Services, returning to employment after having a family.

“This is my first job since having my three girls and I'm enjoying being me again, not just Mum! When I'm not working I like to potter at home and take the girls out to trips to the park and farms or visit friends and family”

Roger Taylor: Managing Director

Roger has degrees from Cambridge University and the University of Victoria, Wellington, NZ. He spent sixteen years abroad working variously as a teacher, carpenter, seaman and classical musician.

“I have always believed in keeping a good balance between work and leisure. When not looking after the needs of over 400 clients, I am usually to be found sailing, skiing, high walking in the Bernese Oberland, or attacking my Steinway grand piano.”

Daniel Wackett: Senior Adviser

Daniel has now been with Altorfer for over twelve years. He had previously spent 10 years in advisory positions with both Lloyds Bank and Midland Bank.

“I spend most of my spare time looking after my two young sons. I also enjoy watching and playing sports, visiting National Trust properties and other places of historic interest and relaxing with a good book after a hard day at the office.”

Helen Wake: Financial Planning Assistant

Helen studied law at the University of Hertfordshire and is now a Registered Adviser with the FSA.

“I have a practical and honest approach to life, which fits in well whether I am walking through National Parks, crawling underground investigating caves, coaching my son, or meeting Altorfer's client needs.”

Lynn Webb: Head of Administration

Lynn spent 11 years with the Bank of England before joining Abbey National plc for a further 19 years. She has now been with Altorfer for over eight years.

“When I am not working my hobbies include travel, going to the theatre and golf, which I never thought would be for me, but I enjoy every minute (even on the bad days!)”
